Upper Olentangy River Watershed

Scenario 2 - Consequences of Watershed Growth Over Time

Scenario 2

Increased Urbanization with Land Use Mitigation Efforts

Although only one data point was available for analysis, since it appears at the northern portion of the watershed, the quality of the water at this point will directly affect the quality downstream. Addressing some of the consequences of increased urbanization with land use mitigation efforts results in a reduced amount of water quality degradation in the Upper Olentangy River watershed over the next 50 years. The current status changes to good in the first 10 years, and steadily declines over consecutive years. Change is evident after 10 years, but especially at 30, the once very good quality approaches very poor.

Current Status 10 Years 20 Years
30 Years 40 Years 50 Years
