Upper Little Miami River Watershed

Scenario 3 - Consequences of Watershed Growth Over Time

Scenario 3

Growth Controls

Growth controls in addition to mitigation efforts implemented in the Upper Little Miami River watershed succeed in reducing the rate of current water quality degradation throughout most sections in the watershed. Additional growth regulations significantly reduce the adverse affects of urbanization. The investigated areas of the watershed remain in their current status for the first 10 years. With the exception of years 40-50, where cumulative impacts are now evident, growth controls and mitigation efforts have greatly assisted in keeping additional degradation in check throughout much of the forecasted time frame.
