Upper Little Miami River Watershed

Scenario 1 - Consequences of Watershed Growth Over Time

Scenario 1

Increased Urbanization with No Regulations

Water quality throughout the Upper Little Miami River watershed will steadily decrease over the next 50 years in the presence of increased urbanization with no mitigation or growth controls. Substantial degradation is apparent in each time frame, especially at 20 years and beyond. Currently, the Upper Little Miami River watershed ranges from very good to fair condition. However, with continued increased urbanization without any regulations, the watershed quickly deteriorates over time. Degradation is apparent in each sampled area and by 30 years, the entire watershed is in very poor condition.
