Upper Great Miami River Watershed
Scenario 3 - Consequences of Watershed Growth Over TimeScenario 3Growth Controls
Growth controls in addition to mitigation efforts implemented in the Upper Great Miami River watershed succeed in increasing or retaining the current water quality status of most sections in the watershed. Additional growth regulations significantly reduce the adverse affects of urbanization. Similar to scenario 2, The status of 10-30 year projections are better than the current conditions, where the same area declines from fair to poor in years 40 and 50. Although this watershed is not highly sensitive to development, growth controls and mitigation efforts have assisted in keeping degradation in check throughout much of the forecasted time frame.
