Great Miami and Loramie Creek Watershed

Scenario 3 - Consequences of Watershed Growth Over Time

Scenario 3

Growth Controls

Growth controls in addition to mitigation efforts to stem the adverse affects of urbanization on the Great Miami watershed succeed in retaining the current water quality status of most sections in the watershed. The upper section of the watershed is the only one to experience any water quality degradation over time when both growth controls and mitigation efforts are used. That section, already in mostly poor condition, declines to all poor after 20 years. A small piece of the section further declines after 30 years to very poor water quality status. Growth controls and mitigation efforts keep any additional degradation in check through the end of the forecasted time frame.

Current Status 10 Years 20 Years
30 Years 40 Years 50 Years
