The drainage area, stream network, and monitored stream segments for the Great Miami River and Loramie Creek watershed has been detailed by the Ohio EPA Division of Surface Water. The location of the watershed in relation the other watershed throughout the state can also be seen in the small Ohio map on the top right.
According to the Ohio EPA, the Great Miami River and Loramie Creek Watershed is impaired primarily by habitat and flow alterations, sediment deposition and nutrient enrichment. These river and stream impairments are a direct result of human development and land use changes in the surrounding area.
