Big Walnut Creek Watershed
Final Impact ForecastsComparison of End Results (After 50 Years)
By comparing the current status of the Big Walnut River watershed with the results of the three proposed scenarios at the end of 50 years, it is evident that all scenarios exhibited change by the end of the time sequence. It is obvious that unregulated growth provides no protection against water quality decline throughout the watershed. Also, the addition of mitigation does not maintain or improve the quality at the end of 50 years. However, by adding growth control measures to mitigation efforts, the sampled sites were able to improve and eventually reach excellent status by the end of the time sequence.
