Increased Urbanization with No Regulations
Water quality throughout the Blanchard River watershed will decrease over the next 50 years in the presence of increased urbanization with no mitigation or growth controls. Although degradation is apparent within the first 20 years, it stabilizes over time. Currently, the watershed is in fair condition. However, with continued increased urbanization without any regulations, the watershed quickly deteriorates to poor status. After only 20 years, the sampled sites of the watershed are in poor condition.
